Paving work is now underway on both Atlantic Avenue and Pacific Avenue. The projects will take place on different schedules. Pacific Avenue paving will occur during the daytime, while Atlantic Avenue work will take place during overnight hours.

 

Residents, businesses and visitors traveling through the work areas should plan ahead and allow additional time for their trips.

 

Parking restrictions will be in effect throughout construction. NO PARKING signs have been posted in areas where work is scheduled to take place, and motorists are asked to carefully follow all posted restrictions.

 

The projects are expected to involve primarily lane closures, although intermittent full closures may be necessary as work progresses. When detours are required, signs will be posted to direct motorists around active construction areas. Officers will also be stationed in the work zones to assist with traffic control and help keep motorists and pedestrians moving safely.

 

The City encourages everyone traveling along Atlantic and Pacific avenues to follow posted signage, observe parking restrictions, use caution and allow extra travel time while this important work is underway.
