Atlantic City to Hold ‘Heat the Streets’ Sweater and Socks Resource Fair
Posted February 05, 2026The City of Atlantic City Reentry Services Division, under the Department of Health and Human Services, will host a “Heat the Streets” Sweater and Socks Resource Fair on Tuesday, February 17, 2026, from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Center City Park (Bacharach Boulevard between North and South Carolina Avenues).
The event is designed to provide warmth, support, and essential resources to residents during the cold winter months. Free winter clothing items, including coats left over from a recent community coat giveaway, will be available while supplies last. Attendees will also have access to community resource information, as well as complimentary soup and hot chocolate.
Resource fairs like “Heat the Streets” play a critical role in protecting the health and safety of vulnerable individuals during winter. Access to warm clothing can help prevent cold-related illnesses, reduce emergency shelter needs, and offer relief to those experiencing hardships.
Community members who wish to contribute are encouraged to donate new or gently used sweaters prior to the event. Donations may be dropped off at City Hall (1301 Bacharach Boulevard) or the All Wars Memorial Building (1510 Adriatic Avenue).
This event is made possible through the City of Atlantic City’s Community Block Development Grant (CDBG) Office.
