Mayor Small Announces 6th Straight Tax Decrease for Atlantic City Taxpayers
Posted April 16, 2025City of Atlantic City Mayor Marty Small, Sr. has announced that the 2025 City of Atlantic City budget includes another property tax decrease, marking a sixth straight year under the Small administration the taxpayers will experience relief. In 2025, there is a 3.4-cent decrease. The total 2025 budget for the City of Atlantic City is $258,183,302.40 (not including grant money).
“The taxpayers of the Great City of Atlantic City have been my number one priority from the moment I took office, and we are once again able to deliver to these taxpayers in a big way,” said Mayor Small. “The City of Atlantic City continues to be a leader in the clubhouse when it comes to fiscal responsibility, and that’s a credit to my budget team and great relationships. Nothing shows the taxpayers how much we care about them more than by giving money back to them each year.”
The City’s budget team consists of Mayor Small, Business Administrator Anthony Swan, Chief Financial Officer Toro Aboderin, Budget Officer Tom Monoghan, City Auditor Leon Costello, State Monitor Wes Swain and New Jersey Department of Community Affairs (DCA) Commissioner Jacquelyn Suárez.
The Small administration consistently seeks ways to further improve the City’s financial situation, including through major Atlantic City development projects like Bader Field, which continues to be pushed by the City. The City is also seeking another Moody’s and Standard and Poor’s upgrade this year, that would put the Atlantic City in investor grade.
