The State of New Jersey has adopted an electronic firearms application process for all firearms applications. Please follow the application instructions below.
APPLICATION FOR FIREARMS IDENTIFICATION AND PERMIT TO PURCHASE A HANDGUN:
This includes Initial Firearms Identification, replacement for lost and stolen firearms identification cards, mutilated firearms identification, change of address, change of name and change of sex on Firearms Identification.
