Stephanie Marshall is a native of the great City of Atlantic City. After graduating from Atlantic City High School in 1991, she attended Atlantic Cape Community College’s Atlantic City campus, where she received her Associates degree in Computer Information Systems. She then transferred to Kean University in Union, New Jersey, where she received a Bachelor of Business Administration degree with a concentration in Finance. She minored in African-American Studies and graduated in 2001. During her college years, Stephanie volunteered for several organizations and learned the importance of giving back to her community.
After graduating from college, Ms. Marshall returned to the City that she loves and proudly calls home. She continued to volunteer and became a youth adviser for the NAACP. In 2009, she was appointed as a commissioner of the Atlantic City Housing Authority, where she served as treasurer and currently serves as chairperson of the board.
In 2018, she became a member of the Atlantic City Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta, Sorority, Inc., continuing her commitment to community service.
Ms. Marshall has worked for the City of Atlantic City as an accountant and in the healthcare field as a finance director. She is currently employed as a bookkeeper for the Atlantic City Board of Education. This experience has given her the knowledge needed to understand budgeting, grants, finance and procurement law.
On November 2, 2021, Ms. Marshall was elected Councilmember-at-Large for the City of Atlantic City. She took office on January 1, 2022, and is currently the chairperson of the City Council’s Revenue & Finance Committee.
Councilmember Marshall is committed to the citizens and taxpayers of Atlantic City and works diligently to help make Atlantic City a better place to live, work and visit.
