Maria Lacca believes Atlantic City has incredible potential and will go on to exceed even its remarkable achievements of the past.
As a proud graduate of Merion Mercy Academy, Maria has continually set the standards of business and entrepreneurial excellence, particularly within the realms of real estate and marketing. Her dedication to Atlantic City is evident in her unwavering commitment to enhancing the lives of its residents, whom she wants nothing but the best for. Maria is building on her success in the private sector as she enters public service as the Fifth Ward Councilwoman.
Living, working, and investing in Atlantic City for over 30 years, Maria has a complete understanding of the city from the perspectives of a resident, business owner, and investor.
At a young age, Maria discovered her love and passion for advertising and design at Trump’s Castle, where she quickly showcased her creative talents and strong leadership abilities. Her work caught the attention of Ivana Trump, who personally hired her.
Maria followed in her father's entrepreneurial footsteps by founding her own business—an advertising and design agency. It became one of the first women-owned, minority-run businesses in Atlantic City.
As an active member of the Atlantic City community, Maria is involved with UNICO, Our Lady Star of the Sea Catholic Church, Sister Grace’s Kitchen, and the National Federation of Republican Women. One of Maria’s favorite memories in Atlantic City was serving as a Hostess for the 2018-2019 Miss America contestants.
After several successful years in advertising and design, Maria transitioned into real estate, leveraging her extensive personal experience in buying and selling properties to guide her clients. Maria was recognized with the Circle of Excellence Award as a Top Producer Realtor for Atlantic and Cape May Counties in 2019, 2021, 2022, and 2023.
Maria Lacca ran for the Fifth Ward Atlantic City Council seat in a special election on November 5, 2024, revitalizing energy through a dynamic grassroots door-to-door campaign. Maria garnered the highest number of votes ever recorded in a Ward 5 contest.
