Philadelphia Eagles Pro Bowl Defensive Tackle Fletcher Cox was recognized at a press conference by City of Atlantic City Mayor Marty Small, Sr. and Atlantic City Police Department Chief James Sarkos. The press conference was held at the John “Sonny” Burke Canine Training Center in Corbin City, N.J.

K-9 Narco, a two-year-old Belgian Malinois, was purchased from funds that were generously donated by Fletcher Cox to the Atlantic City Police Department. Narco is trained in patrol and narcotics detection. Narco and his partner, Officer Adrian Nunez-Santos, graduated from K-9 Patrol Scent Class #12 on March 10, 2023, after completing an intensive 23-week K9 training program at the John "Sonny" Burke Canine Training Center. Narco is trained in the detection of cocaine, crack cocaine, methamphetamine, ecstasy, and heroin.

Since graduating from the John "Sonny" Burke Canine Training Center, K-9 Narco and Officer Nunez-Santos have been hard at work and have been involved in numerous CDS related cases including eight positive indications that have resulted in the recovery and seizure of large quantities of CDS, CDS paraphernalia, and cash.

Following the news conference, Mayor Small declared this “Fletcher Cox Day” in Atlantic City and delivered a Proclamation. Narco then did a demonstration for media.
