The Atlantic City Police Department has promoted two to the rank of Deputy Chief, six to the rank of Captain, eight to the rank of Lieutenant, and nine to the rank of Sergeant. The police department also hired 20 Special Law Enforcement Officer recruits that will be assigned to the Police Academy for training.

The newly promoted were sworn in at a ceremony held at the Atlantic City Convention Center on Tuesday March 21, 2023.  The newly promoted will be assigned to various positions throughout the department.

 Promoted from Officer to Sergeant of Police: Raymond Wagner, Joshua Schwenger, Daniel Arra, Darrin Lorady, John Sharkey, Christian Ivanov, Valmir Loga, Michael Garofalo, Matthew Cocuzza.
