Atlantic City Holds First Ever Ghana Flag Raising Ceremony

For the first time in history, the City of Atlantic City raised the flag of Ghana on March 6, 2023 to celebrate the country’s 66th year of independence.

The city’s Multicultural Services division organized the festivities in the City Hall courtyard. Ghana’s U.N. Ambassador was on hand, along with other dignitaries and members of the community, including Ghana natives.

At one point during the festivities, Mayor Marty Small. Sr. was even named Chief of Accra, Ghana’s capital, and was presented a bracelet.

Last week, the City of Atlantic City raised the Dominican Republic flag and later this month, on March 27th, 2023 at 12:30 there will a Bangladesh flag raising ceremony.
