After more than 30 years hosting the WIP Morning Show, Angelo Cataldi is about to retire. So, during the show’s Friday, January 27, 2023 broadcast at Borgata Hotel and Casino, Mayor Small made an appearance on-air, and surprised Cataldi with a City of Atlantic City Proclamation.

The Proclamation thanks Cataldi for his many entertaining years as host, and acknowledges his regular appearances in Atlantic City. Since the Borgata opened, the WIP Morning Show has broadcast remotely from that location every Friday morning.

During his appearance, Mayor Small discussed the resurgence of Atlantic City, talked some Eagles football, and declared this “Angelo Cataldi Day” in Atlantic City.

“We appreciate you and all your contributions, not only in the City of Philadelphia, but here in the great City of Atlantic City,” Mayor Small told Cataldi.

“We love Atlantic City, and we love the way you are taking care if this city right now,” Cataldi told Mayor Small to end the segment.
