The Atlantic City Free Public Library's Crochet Club needs plastic bags for a project to help our unhoused community. The bags will be transformed into plarn (plastic yarn) waterproof mats that can be used to sit or sleep on. The mats, which will be about 3 ft. wide by 6 ft. long, will have a strap and can be rolled up to make them transportable.

Please bring your plastic bags to either library location: the William K. Cheatham Building (Main Library) at 1 North Tennessee Ave. or the Richmond Branch Library at 4115 Ventnor Ave. Thank you for your help with this project!
