The City of Atlantic City is responding to a prolonged nor’easter expected to bring heavy rain, strong winds and potentially dangerous coastal flooding through at least Saturday.

Residents are encouraged to take precautions now, including moving vehicles to higher ground and securing trash cans and other loose outdoor items.

To assist residents, the Wave Garage at Mississippi and Fairmount Avenues is offering free parking through at least 1 p.m. Saturday. The City will evaluate conditions and extend the free-parking period if necessary.

Residents and visitors should avoid driving through flooded roadways and continue to monitor official weather and emergency updates.
