Grant Will Support Improvements to Tennis Courts at All Wars Memorial Building
Posted August 20, 2026The City of Atlantic City’s plan to refurbish the tennis courts outside the historic All Wars Memorial Building is receiving additional support after City Council approved a $19,500 Tennis Venue Services Grant from the United States Tennis Association (USTA) during the August meeting.
The grant will provide funding to improve the existing tennis courts and expand recreational opportunities for residents at the All Wars Memorial Building at 1510 Adriatic Avenue. Samantha Kiley of the Midtown Community Development Corporation (CDC) and AtlantiCare, along with Commander Patricia Tatum of American Legion Post 61 spearheaded the effort to bring the grant funding opportunity to Atlantic City.
The city’s Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Office will provide the remaining funds needed to complete the tennis court improvements as part of a broader $200,000 renovation project at the All Wars Memorial Building. The larger project also includes new flooring, kitchen upgrades and improvements to the building’s conference room.
