Atlantic City Police Sergeant Christian Ivanov received an emotional hero's welcome as he was released from AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center following a remarkable recovery from life-threatening injuries sustained in the line of duty just a few weeks prior.

Members of the Atlantic City Police Department, law enforcement partners, city leaders, family members, friends, and hospital staff gathered outside the medical center to participate in a clap-out and honor guard escort recognizing Sgt. Ivanov's dedication to public service.

As Sgt. Ivanov's exited the hospital, those in attendance applauded and cheered, celebrating his progress and the determination he displayed throughout his recovery.
