Apply Now for Mayor Small’s 2026 Scholarship For Atlantic City Residents
Posted June 10, 2026The City of Atlantic City is now accepting applications for the 2026 Mayor Marty Small, Sr. Scholarship.
Scholarships are available only to Atlantic City residents who are graduating high school seniors pursuing a college degree, as well as residents pursuing a Master’s degree, Doctorate degree, or trade school education. This year, 40 scholarships will be awarded to graduating high school seniors and 12 scholarships will be awarded to residents pursuing postgraduate degrees or trade school. Up to $10,000 is available for each of the 52 scholarships.
This year, $500,000 in scholarship funding is available through the American Rescue Plan and the city’s Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) office. Due to this year’s reduced funding amount, only residents who have not previously received a Mayor Marty Small, Sr. Scholarship are eligible to apply.
Scholarship recipients will receive half of their award for the Fall 2026 semester and the remaining half for the Spring 2027 semester. Funds will be paid directly to the educational institution. Applications will be reviewed by a scholarship committee comprised of city employees and community members. Mayor Small is not involved in the selection process.
