Atlantic City Dedicates ‘Harvey Mason Way’ in Honor of the Renowned Musician

Posted May 08, 2026
The City of Atlantic City has officially dedicated Kentucky Avenue and the Boardwalk as “Harvey Mason Way” in honor of Grammy-nominated artist Harvey Mason, whose legendary musical journey began in his hometown of Atlantic City. The street dedication, approved unanimously by Atlantic City Council last fall, recognizes Mason’s extraordinary contributions to the music industry and his lasting influence on artists and fans across the globe.

An Atlantic City High School graduate, Mason launched his early career performing at the legendary KY and the Curb at Kentucky and Arctic Avenues, where many influential African American artists once took the stage and helped shape Atlantic City’s rich musical legacy. During the ceremony, Mason reflected on the profound impact Atlantic City had on his life, his passion for music, and the illustrious career that followed.
