Atlantic City Public Works Continues Snow Removal Efforts
Posted February 24, 2026The Atlantic City Department of Public Works has been working continuously since snow began falling on Sunday, responding immediately to what proved to be a significant and demanding winter weather event. Crews have operated around the clock to clear primary roads and are continuing operations to address secondary and residential streets across the city.
Snow removal on this scale is complex, requiring careful coordination and sustained effort to ensure roadways are cleared safely and thoroughly. Public Works personnel remain committed to completing this work and will continue operations until every Atlantic City roadway is addressed.
The city asks residents and business owners for patience as crews continue snow removal efforts. Property owners are reminded that while clearing sidewalks adjacent to their properties is required, shoveled snow should not be placed back into the streets. Doing so slows the progress of plowing operations.
Motorists are also urged to continue using caution when traveling and to give Public Works vehicles ample space to operate safely. Maintaining a safe distance from snowplows and other equipment helps protect workers and allows crews to perform their duties efficiently.
