This year’s annual Atlantic City Police Foundation Hero Luncheon recognized two outstanding individuals:

 

James Kutch, longtime Foundation Treasurer and community leader, was honored for his tireless efforts to make Atlantic City a better place for all. And Sgt. Jonathan Walsh, of the Atlantic City Police Department, was honored for his heroic actions in saving a young swimmer from drowning this past June.

 

During the event, Hard Rock Hotel & Casino, who hosted, generously donated $5,000 each to the Atlantic City Police Foundation and the Atlantic City Professional Firefighter Union, supporting the brave men and women who serve our city every day.

 

This luncheon is always scheduled around National First Responders Day. The City of Atlantic City extends our deepest gratitude to all police officers, firefighters, EMTs, and emergency personnel who dedicate their lives to protecting ours.
