National Pull Up 4 Peace Conference Set for June 24–27 in Atlantic City
Posted June 20, 2025From June 24 to June 27, 2025, Atlantic City will host the highly anticipated National Pull Up 4 Peace Conference for Violence Prevention at the Showboat Hotel. This multi-day gathering will bring together violence prevention leaders, community organizers, policymakers, and local government officials for a powerful and purposeful event focused on healing, restoring, and strengthening communities nationwide.
Co-hosted by Mayor Marty Small Sr. of Atlantic City and Mayor Ras J. Baraka of Newark, NJ, in partnership with the City of Atlantic City, O.N.E., the Institute of Research for Social Justice in Action (IRSJA), and the CVI Leadership Academy, the conference will serve as a national call to action for cities on the frontlines of violence and inequity.
This year’s theme centers around:
- Elevating community-led public safety solutions
- Highlighting national models of violence prevention
- Providing resources and funding access for front-line organizations
- Strategizing sustainable community change
Featured speakers include local and national leaders such as Jarrod Barnes, Pamela Johnson, Dr. Wahnee Sherman, Ansar Abdullah, Kareem "Abdul Muhammad" Taylor, and many more. The lineup also includes special appearances by high-profile voices like Tamika Mallory, Mysonne Linen, and Dr. Chico Tillmon, ensuring rich dialogue and transformative insight across panels and sessions.

Special Event: Pull Up 4 Peace Walk
Join us Thursday, June 26, 2025 at 9:00 AM for the Pull Up 4 Peace Walk, starting at Showboat and ending at the Lieutenant Governor Sheila Y. Oliver Plaza. Community leaders and guest speakers will walk in solidarity, sharing powerful messages of hope, peace, and healing. All conference attendees are encouraged to participate.
