The Atlantic City Free Public Library’s water emergency project will result in the temporary closing of the Main Library – located at 1 North Tennessee Ave. – beginning Monday, June 2, 2025.

As part of the project, new flooring is being installed in phases throughout the Main Library’s first floor. In this next phase, moving and flooring crews will be working in the central section of the floor, which includes the Circulation Desk, Tennessee Avenue and atrium entrances, women’s bathroom, plus the Fiction, New Book, Urban Fiction and Graphic Novels collections.

The Main Library will remain closed until the completion of this phase, which is projected to last 2-4 weeks. In-person classes at the Main Library are canceled, but online programs will be held as scheduled.
