Guarded Beaches in Atlantic City Start May 24th
Posted May 20, 2025On Saturday, May 24th the Atlantic City Beach Patrol will begin operations for the 2025 summer season. A limited number of guarded beaches will be open daily for the rest of May and the first few weeks of June:
Caspian Avenue (weekends only), New Hampshire Avenue, Connecticut Avenue, States Avenue, Virginia Avenue, Pennsylvania Avenue (weekends only), North Carolina Avenue, South Carolina Avenue, Kentucky Avenue, MLK Blvd, Ohio Avenue, Michigan Avenue, Missouri Avenue, Mississippi Avenue, Texas Avenue, Iowa Avenue, Brighton Avenue, Chelsea Avenue, Albany Avenue, Bartram Avenue, and Montgomery Avenue.
All beaches will be open and fully staffed on Saturday, June 28th for the remainder of the summer season. Lifeguards are on duty from 10 AM to 6 PM.
The Atlantic City Beach Patrol asks all beachgoers to read all the posted signs and pay attention to your surroundings. Stay away from all piers, pipes, rock piles and jetties. Ocean conditions can change hourly. Please listen to all lifeguards! Updates on guarded beaches and conditions can be found below.
Want to join the Atlantic City Beach Patrol this summer? Lifeguard tests are Saturday, June 7th outside Beach Patrol Headquarters on South Carolina Avenue. Roll call is 9:00 AM sharp. Prior to the lifeguard test, the ACBP will provide interested candidates with a free training school to practice techniques critical to success in the lifeguard test. All candidates must attend at least one session prior to testing:
Tuesday: 5/27 – Saturday: 5/31
Monday: 6/2 – Friday: 6/6
