Sign Up Now to Receive Emergency Notifications Through Atlantic City’s Alert System
Posted May 18, 2022The City of Atlantic City is excited to formally announce the launch of our new alert and notification system to keep the community informed of potential dangerous, or even life-threatening situations in the City.
Through “AC Alerts,” City officials will be able to share information and updates on situations ranging from severe weather to road closures to public safety incidents, and more. The City has the capability to alert specific sections of Atlantic City during an isolated incident, or can alert the entire City at once if necessary.
Effective immediately, Atlantic City residents, businesses and visitors are encouraged to sign up to receive these alerts on the City’s website by entering their contact information. There is a link on our homepage that will take you to the “AC Alerts” page, or you can visit that page directly through this link: https://www.acnj.gov/pages/acalerts. From there, click “Sign Up for AC Alerts” to fill out a profile. You can choose how you’d like to receive your notifications (text, call, email). Profile and notification information can be edited at any time.
“Whether you are visiting Atlantic City or you live here throughout the year, we want you to be able to enjoy everything this City has to offer in a safe environment,” said Mayor Marty Small, Sr. “Unfortunately, emergencies happen, but by utilizing this alert system, we now have the capability to deliver critical information in a timely matter during those unexpected situations.”
More details on “AC Alerts” will be announced very soon. For now, the public is being asked to begin signing up and to help spread the word.
