‘A True Celebration’ as the Atlantic City St. Patrick’s Day Parade Returns March 8th
Posted March 05, 2025Atlantic City’s longest running tradition – the Atlantic City St. Patrick’s Day Parade – returns for a 37th year on Saturday, March 8, 2025. The parade begins around 1:00 PM along the world-famous Atlantic City Boardwalk.
During a joint news conference between the City of Atlantic City and the Atlantic City St. Patrick’s Day Parade committee, Mayor Marty Small, Sr. stated: “We want people to come from near and far. It’s going to be a true celebration. We’re going to make a major impact on the businesses here.”
Participants range from string bands to pipers, from charitable partners to performers and local businesses and organizations.
Deputy Chief Bridget Pierce of the Atlantic City Police Department has been selected as this year’s Grand Marshal.
The Atlantic City Police Department will have officers, both uniformed and plain-clothes, stationed throughout the parade route on the Boardwalk for the festivities. Underage drinking will not be tolerated and those laws will be strictly enforced.
Traffic detours and delays will be in place between 1:30 PM to 5:00 PM to allow the paradegoers to exit the Boardwalk. All times are approximate. Traffic will be detoured at the below intersections:
- Atlantic Avenue from Albany Avenue to Boston Avenue will be closed
- Pacific Avenue from Albany Avenue to Boston Avenue will be closed
- Providence Avenue from Captain John O’Donnell Parkway to Pacific Avenue will be closed
- Hartford Avenue from Atlantic Avenue to Pacific Avenue will be closed
