On Friday February 28, 2025 the NJ Department of Transportation has scheduled maintenance work on Route 40 and 30 bridge structures in Atlantic City that will involve several periodic openings of 5 to 10 minutes in duration between 9am and 2pm, with 20-30 minute intervals in between openings to allow for traffic to clear.

Motorists are advised to reduce speed, exercise caution and anticipate potential delays in the work  area.

The schedule may be adjusted based on weather conditions or other unforeseen circumstances.
