The 2024 Atlantic City Marathon Race Series will take place on Saturday, October 19 and Sunday, October 20, 2024. The two-day event will have athletes running throughout Atlantic City and the Downbeach communities.  The races will begin on the Atlantic City Boardwalk.  Motorists will see an influx of traffic on both days.  In addition, bicycles will be prohibited on the Boardwalk during the event.

The marathon on Sunday will impact the traffic flow in Atlantic City.  Motorists should expect major delays and detours in the following areas:

Brigantine Connector/Atlantic City Expressway Tunnel will be closed from 7:00AM to 10:00AM

Employee access road to Borgata, entrance to Borgata, Harrah’s, and Golden Nugget will experience delays from 7:00AM to 10:30AM.

Borgata employee parking and delivery entrance will be closed from 7:00AM to 10:00AM.

Bacharach Boulevard, New Hampshire Avenue, and Melrose Avenue will experience delays from 7:00AM to 10:30AM.
