Chalk it up as a victory for the home team! The Atlantic City Beach Patrol won the Atlantic City Lifeguard Classic on July 19, 2024 by placing in the top 3 in every event:

(1st Place) Doubles Surfboat Rescue - Kyle Deroo and Tom Muskett

(1st Place) One Mile Double Row - Vince Granese and Nick Guidara

(2nd Place) Surf Boat Relay - Lily Malone, Sean Blair, Julianna Granese, Kyle Deroo

(2nd Place) Singles Row - Vince Granese

(3rd Place) Surf Dash Relay - Andrew Gillman, Joe Russell, Lilliana Keim, Will Bradley

(3rd Place) Swim Paddle Relay - Charles Schreiner, Tanner Innis, Michael Awad, Drew Latz

“It has been a phenomenal start to race season for the Atlantic City Beach Patrol and we look forward to that continuing this Summer,” said ACBP Chief Steve Downey. “It is extra special being able to secure the win on our home beach, in this particular race which really highlights the skills of our lifeguards.”

After another successful showing earlier in the month in Longport as well, the ACBP will continuing showcasing its talent and depth by competing in the rest of the lifeguard races this season!
