Next Round of Atlantic City Firefighters to Graduate from Fire Academy

Posted March 18, 2024

Twenty-five Atlantic City residents are among the 33 firefighter recruits set to graduate from the Atlantic County Fire Academy on Friday, March 22, 2024 (six are from Pleasantville and two from Brigantine).

City of Atlantic City Mayor Marty Small, Sr. and other city officials recently stopped by the Fire Academy to witness (and even participate in) Live Fire Training, while offering the recruits a message of support:

“I know you’re just embarking on your journey,” said Mayor Small told them. “Make sure everyone makes it, it’s up to each and every one of you to make sure. I’m proud of you, keep working hard.”

The twelve-week training takes place at the Anthony “Tony” Canale Fire Training Center in Egg Harbor Township.

An additional eleven recruits will graduate in six weeks.
