Route 30 Bridge over Beach Thorofare Temporary Overnight Closures Through March 14th in Atlantic City
Posted March 08, 2024Per the New Jersey Department of Transportation (NJDOT), Route 30 is scheduled to be closed overnight for 30 minutes at a time in both directions through next week on the Route 30/Absecon Boulevard Bridge over Beach Thorofare in Atlantic City. This is a continuation of work that began on February 26.
Beginning at 9 p.m. Thursday, March 7, until 5 a.m. Friday, March 8, and continuing each night Monday, March 11 through Thursday, March 14, at the same times, temporary 30-minute stoppages are scheduled on the Route 30 Bridge over Beach Thorofare in both directions, once every hour. The stoppages are necessary to raise the drawbridge to remove and replace the existing bolts on the bridge.
New Jersey State Police will be assisting with traffic control. Motorists wishing to avoid the stoppages are encouraged to use the following alternate routes.
