Major Storm to Hit Atlantic City Tuesday Into Wednesday

The City of Atlantic City is bracing for a significant storm expected to hit the region Tuesday afternoon through early Wednesday morning. The National Weather Service (NWS) is forecasting wind gusts could reach up to 70mph Tuesday evening. A Coastal Flood Advisory has been issued by the NWS for Atlantic County. Minor to Moderate coastal flooding is now forecasted. New Jersey Governor Phil Murphy declared a State of Emergency beginning at 5:00pm
 
The Atlantic City Office of Emergency Management is urging residents and businesses to secure any loose outdoor objects that can become a flying projectile, and to avoid traveling during the storm.
 
Residents and businesses in Atlantic City can sign up for Atlantic City’s emergency notification system, AC Alerts, and follow the NWS for all the latest updates.
