6 Atlantic City Councilmembers Sworn-In to 4-Year Term, Randolph Remains President
Posted January 02, 2024On January 1, 2024, the City of Atlantic City held a Swearing-In Ceremony for the following six city councilmembers, who were elected by the public to serve on council through December 31, 2027:
Aaron ‘Sporty’ Randolph (1st Ward, reelected)
LaToya Dunston (2nd Ward, reelected)
Kaleem Shabazz (3rd Ward, reelected)
George ‘Animal’ Crouch (4th Ward, first time elected)
Muhammad ‘Anjum’ Zia (5th Ward, reelected)
Jesse Kurtz (6th Ward, reelected)
Immediately following the ceremony, council held a Reorganization Meeting, where through majority vote within council, Councilman Randolph was selected to remain Council President throughout 2024, and Councilman Shabazz will once again serve as Council Vice President for the next year.
The four-year elected terms for the city’s three At-Large Councilmembers (Stephanie Marshall, George Tibbitt, Bruce Weekes) run through December 31, 2025.
