The annual “Wedding of the Sea” ceremony returned to Atlantic City on August 15th, 2023.

This year’s Mass was held at Hard Rock Casino, followed by a procession along the Atlantic City Boardwalk to the beach at Virginia Avenue, where Mayor Marty Small Sr. and Bishop Dennis Sullivan hopped into a rescue boat for the tossing of the wreath, with the help of the Atlantic City Beach Patrol.

The goal of this event is to celebrate the relationship between the city and the sea.
