City of Atlantic City to Raise Pride Flag, Juneteenth Flag in Separate Ceremonies

The City of Atlantic City will be holding two cultural flag raising ceremonies this week in the City Hall Courtyard (1301 Bacharach Blvd).
 
On Thursday, June 15th at 3 p.m., the city will raise the Pride flag in recognition of Pride Month. Judah Dorrington, the Mayor’s Office of LGBTQ+ Affairs Liaison and Programs and Services Coordinator, will be the emcee for this ceremony.
 
Then, on Friday, June 16th at 12:30 p.m., the city will raise the Juneteenth flag for the first time in recognition of the Juneteenth holiday. This ceremony was organized by the Mayor’s Office of Special Events.
 
Both events will feature music and cultural performances. City leaders, including Mayor Marty Small, Sr., are scheduled to attend both ceremonies.
