The Streets Division handles the construction, maintenance and repair of city streets.

The department’s mission and responsibilities include:

• Routine maintenance of all City streets and gutters
• Finish ramps built by the Boardwalk Department
• Manhole repair using hot or cold patch
• Snow removal and salting of City streets
• Installation of new frame and lids for catch basins
• Replacing concrete base after depressions or cave-ins caused by drainage failure
• Installation of new granite inlets along with the drains and boxes
• Replace drain pipes from inlet drains to catch basins
• Replace gutters for better drainage
• Replace City owned concrete curbing, driveways, and sidewalks
• Installation of handicapped ramps at all intersection of City streets
• Maintain tree pits by resetting bricks.
