The Parks and Public Property Division supervises preventive maintenance, alterations and repairs for municipal buildings and properties. This division trims, plants, cares for and preserves city parks, grounds, trees, and green areas and attends to playground and facility maintenance.

The department’s mission and responsibilities include:

• Maintenance of all City parks and playgrounds
• Tree trimming, removal and stump grinding
• Planting of flowers
• Marking softball, baseball, and football fields Pick up and delivery of items for City auctions Pre and post production of special events (i.e., show mobile, staging, sound system, tables, chairs, bleachers, trash cans, etc.)
• Snow removal and salting
• Assist with yard waste pickup
• Installation of Holiday lighting along Atlantic & Ventnor Avenues
• Maintenance, renovations, and repairs to all City owned buildings
• Maintenance and repairs to all City parks and playgrounds
• Painting of various City offices and buildings
• Board up vacant City owned buildings
• Assist City Engineer’s Office with contractors for various City projects.
