Beach & Boardwalk Division plans and supervises maintenance and repair problems to the boardwalk and beach area, such as, capping of piles, repair decking and replace boardwalk sections, erect, paint, and repair pipe railings and pavilions, removes debris from beach, keeping the beach and boardwalk in a safe and clean condition.

The Boardwalk & Beach Division is a year round operational division dedicated to keeping the City’s boardwalk and beach maintained. This division focuses on keeping the beach and boardwalk clean and safe for all City residents and visitors.

The Boardwalk and Beach Division is comprised of approximately thirty employees that perform a wide range of duties such as laborers, truck drivers, carpenters, and equipment operators. The divisions is active seven days a week during day and night shifts. Some everyday duties include but are not limited to the following for the safety and enjoyment of the public:

• Repairing Ramps and the Boards
• Maintaining Pavilions and Benches
• Safety Checks
• Pan & Broom Duty
• Trash Pickup
• Cleaning Crew
• Beach Cleanup
